Watch and enjoy the pelicans as they swoop by or the cheeky egret bird sitting by the side of the pool before he takes off to land on his favourite fishing boat. This is Puerto Escondido at its best and most relaxed. Cloudless days with a pleasant breeze from the ocean, long lazy days in the sun and enjoying the pool before the day draws to a close with a spectacular sunset. Can it get any better than this?

Casa Sheila was built in 2006 on the rocks overlooking Puerto Angelito and the Pacific Ocean. It is in a gated community within walking distance of the local supermarket and the municipal mercado, and about ten minutes’ walk to the main tourist area (the Adoquin) and the Playa Principal (the main beach where the commercial fishing boats come in every morning with their fresh stocks of fish). We are minutes away from Playa Manzanillo which shares the bay with Puerto Angelito and is a fairly quiet swimming area and popular with snorkelors. There is a good local bus (3 pesos) which runs about every 20 minutes in a circle passing the mercado and the supermarket, and taxis are plentiful and inexpensive.

Casa Sheila has two large bedrooms and 2-1/2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, a walk out to the palapa and an attached bathroom. The second bedroom has two beds, one queen-size and a single, ensuite bathroom and a walk-out to the patio and swimming pool.
